Joucas, Vaucluse’s village

A small village perched against the Monts de Vaucluse. Superb views over the ochre cliffs. Joucas has always kept its olive oil mill, partly troglodyte, functioning. It still uses its ancient meule and mechanism, its press, its chimney and its cuves. Not to be missed: the narrow cobbled streets at the top of the high village, the castle, and the church of Saint Jean Baptiste.
